Spread More Positivity

Sometimes it's hard for people to remain positive, and it can be easier said than done for those who do not enforce positivity already within themselves. But by spreading positivity to others, you are raising your own vibrations as well.

When you feel good, you open the door for positive energy to reach you. I like to think about the things I am thankful for, and by doing that, I attract more things to be grateful for. Supporting your positive thoughts with your behavior turns it into a habit that really does go a long way. The world needs more kindness, and by spreading these vibes to others, we can create a difference within ourselves and others.

It can be easy to let negativity enter your life. Whether that be running into traffic, or maybe it's cold and raining outside, or perhaps the person you really like hasn't texted you back. Don't let the things you can't control dictate your emotions. You have no impact on how many cars are on the road or what the weather will be like. Replace that negative energy with positive energy on the things you CAN control.

Take these easy actions into next week:

  1. Create a Connection

    • Introduce yourself and/or compliment someone

    • Seeing others smile has a psychological impact on your body where your can’t help but smile yourself

    • Smiling and laughter is contagious

  2. Reach Out to a Loved One

    • Call an old friend or family member and let them know you were thinking of them

    • It’s easy to lose sight of relationships with people whom you don’t see regularly

  3. Be Selfless

    • Listen instead of speaking

    • Hold the door for someone

    • Volunteer your time for a good cause

    • Put yourself in other people’s shoes, the universe has a way of repaying your good deeds

  4. Don’t Complain

    • Any negative thoughts should be instantly replaced with something to be happy about or something to look forward to

    • Allow yourself to put your life into perspective with those less fortunate
